Entrepreneurship Career Academy

One option discussed is to have a focus or Academy for Entrepreneurship. With the Academy of Entrepreneurship, students will take core courses at Hall and attend Metro for skill trade course work.  The course work will be linked to Pulaski Technical College for dual credit. What are some courses that could be offered at Hall to enhance this academy?

  1. How is this different than what we offer now for students to go to Metro? The college course credit? I would think this might be something Metro needs to consider as it will be their staff and their facilities? I think this would be good if we could keep the students at Hall all day and incorporate learning projects. For example, at one of the meetings someone mentioned offering construction management classes and having students actually build things for the LRSD. I have heard some concern from alumni that this is "tracking" and would be using Hall as a place for students who are not 4 year college bound instead of seeking out the best and brightest. -- McAlpine

  3. I really like this one as well. Computer Science Career Academy would be my first choice, but students learning about becoming business owner would be AWESOME! We have so many talented and smart students and I feel this THEME will also be POPULAR!
